With PokerCalc you can easily compare texas hold'em starting hands.
Simply select your hole cards and let the applet compute your odds to win or loose against other players - just as shown on TV poker programs.
Using the application is easy and intuitive: simply select your cards by clicking the card buttons on the left, thus they will be transferred into the corresponding target hands. The current target card is the one with yellow background. After defining the starting hands, invoke the calculation by pressing the button "Calculate"

System requirements
PokerCalc has been developed under Java and requires a Java runtime (version 1.5 or higher). Checking whether a Java runtime is installed on your computer is simple:
java version "1.6.0_03" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_03-b05) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.6.0_03-b05, mixed mode)If a Java runtime can not be found an error message will be displayed. In this case it is necessary to install the Java runtime first. It can be downloaded here: Java Runtime. Choose Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update x (latest version), then click Download. Further instructions can be found on Sun's Java site.
Installation
The PokerCalc standalone application can be downloaded here: application. Unzip the file to any folder (i. e. C:\Programme\PokerCalc) , then double-click PokerCalc.cmd.
The application's main window looks like this:

It is divided into six panels:
All input and delete actions can be undone and redone. Calculation is started by pressing the "Calculate" button
, recalculation will be invoked automatically when the flop, turn and river are revealed.
More specific information about hand ranking and data distribution can be retrieved by pressing the "Details" button
.
The example above reveals that a pair of queens can only win against a pair of aces (same suit) with four of a kind, full house, straight or three of a kind, but not with a flush.
